My family and I love to try new products, especially when they are fun products like the newly introduced Gutzy Gear. Gutzy Gear allows my children to express their individuality in a way that will still fall within the school’s dress code and guidelines.
What is Gutzy Gear?
“Gutzy Gear is a great, new way to express yourself by customizing your backback, sports duffel, messenger bag, and more! Gutzies are cool looking removable patches [that] stick to a Gutzy strap cover that you put wherever you want to go Gutzy! … But Gutzy Gear is even more… Gutzy Gear is a lifestyle! Gutzy Gear is about showing the world who you are, taking chances and being the best YOU you can be. So wherever you are, whenever it is, whatever the plan… GO GUTZY!”
The best part was getting to host a Gutzy Gear Party for up to 15 children aged 6-12 in our home.
My Gutzy Party Pack included:
- (15) Gutzy Straps
- (15) Gutzy Patches 2 packs
- Pre-printed Gutzy games and activities
- Recipes and fun party food ideas
I can’t even begin to tell you how much fun we had. Because of preparation for Hurricane Issac, we were not able to have the Back-to-School Gutzy Gear/Ice Cream social planned for this past Sunday. The kids and I were disappointed, but my husband and I decided that did not prevent us from enjoying ourselves. We would have a family party with virtual attendees!
While our dinner simmered on the stove, we began with a game of Gutzy Bingo. Who knew that a simple game of bingo could create so many humorous moments? We awarded Gutzy tokens to the first non-adult player to get Bingo, which kicked up some friendly competition. The second game was Gutzy Domino and the one we enjoyed the most. Despite the name, this game was more like a treasure hunt than Dominos and the kids had fun running through the house locating the “dominos” or images of Gutzy patches.
After dinner it was time to customize their bags, and even my high school daughter staked a claim on a few patches. Illustrating the point, that while Gutzy Gear is targeted to children ages 6-12, some older teens will also want to collect them. They spent quite a bit of time choosing their patches and the precise placement on their bags. Each child selected (2) additional starter kits and patch sets that they will share at school with a cousin and another school mate.
My children saw the sheets advertising a special Gutzy Patch with purchase and I could see the wheels spinning in their little heads. That’s okay with me though because we prefer to buy non-edible treats as rewards, so Gutzy Gear makes the perfect incentives.
